What's the difference between RealAudio and mp3? Real audio offers streaming of audio so that you can hear audio more quickly. It requires the download of a RealAudio player, which you can get here and follow the link for RealPlayer 8 Basic (it's the free version). Please note that Real Player 8 Basic Minimum (the smallest version) is a 5MB download, which will take between 15 and 25 minutes to download on a 56K modem.
How do I use RealPlayer? Clicking on the RealAudio link in any band page will launch RealPlayer. Please note that the RealPlayer window will launch on top of the current browser window. You can minimise this window (by pressing the minus sign), and the audio will continue until the track finishes. If you click on a RealAudio link in another page, the current track will stop and the new one will start. To stop the audio, maximise RealPlayer and press stop or close the window. If the image doesn't load properly, press your browser 'refresh' button.
I'm using RealAudio, but the sound is breaking up! This is a drawback with RealAudio streaming - if network traffic is busy, you may get glitches in the sound. Try waiting until a less busy time (any time other than between 5 and 10PM) when Internet speed improves.
What if I have a broadband connection? You can use either RealAudio or mp3, but mp3 is much better quality, and download times should not be as much of an issue for you, so using mp3 is recommended. All mp3 files on this site are less than 2.5 MB.
I'm getting annoyed with all this downloading. Isn't there a better way? We understand how frustrating Internet performance can be, so we also have a CD-ROM version of this brochure, which offers instant access to all of the sound files.
